IPP Investment Projects
J-POWER focuses on the growth of our future business in power supply development including both investment in overseas electric power and energy investments, as well as our domestic Japanese electric power business activities. J-POWER's Independent Power Producer (IPP) business began in July of 1997, with aggressive growth in the overseas IPP business, particularly in Asia. J-POWER currently has 23 power projects operating in 6 countries/regions (data as of September 10, 2008). Major projects are described as follows.
