In 2008, J-POWER USA Generation L.P., a 50/50 joint venture of J-POWER and John Hancock Life Insurance Company, acquired a 100% equity interest in Pinelawn Power LLC which owns Pinelawn power plant, a 80MW combined cycle gas turbine, located in Long Island, New York.
