Elwood Energy Project (U.S.A.)
In 2007, J-POWER acquired a 49.9% equity interest in Elwood Energy, LLC which owns the Elwood Power Station, a 1,350MW simple cycle gas turbine, located near Chicago, Illinois.
In 2007, J-POWER’s equity interest was acquired by J-POWER USA Generation (50/50 joint venture of J-POWER and John Hancock Life Insurance Company). Now J-POWER USA Generation owns 50.0% equity interest in this project.
