Generating Facilities Hydroelectric Power
J-POWER has built and run hydroelectric power stations for about 50 years. As of the end of May 2010, its 59 hydroelectric power stations in Japan had a total capacity of 8,565 megawatts, accounting for about 20% of Japan's hydroelectricity, the largest share in the nation. |

Thermal Power Generation
J-POWER operates seven coal-fired and one geothermal power station in this category. It specializes in coal-fired power generation.
As of July 2009, J-POWER operated seven coal-fired power stations with a combined output of 8,424 megawatts. J-POWER is the largest coal-fired thermal power station operator in Japan, with about 25% share of nationwide output. |
