Helping to Solve the Global Power Shortage

Leveraging the experience and technical prowess acquired through its domestic electric power business, the J-POWER Group engages in its consulting business in places around the world, providing consulting services on things such as developing energy resources, basic research regarding matters such as electric power transmission and substation facilities, feasibility, design, construction supervision, and environmental technology transfers. Since its first project in 1962, the Group has conducted 374 projects in 64 countries and regions.

The core of J-POWER’s consulting business is technical support services for specific projects. Commissioned by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), foreign government agencies, private companies and other organizations, J-POWER provides services including baseline studies, feasibility studies, preliminary design, detailed design and construction supervision.

J-POWER is using the experience, trust and networks it has cultivated in this business to identify and develop overseas power generation projects.

Technology Transfers

J-POWER offers comprehensive and effective technology transfer programs provided in various form such as one-to-one, co-work, workshops and seminars, and provision of On-Job Training at J-POWER's power facilities and training simulators. More than 2,500 trainees have taken these programs and J-POWER's training program play a key role in their respective organizations throughout the world.

Technical Experts Dispatch

More than 220 J-POWER engineers have been sent as long-term advisor to power-related organizations in 36 countries / regions under the government technical cooperation program conducted by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). Through dispatching knowledgeable experts, J-POWER contributes to the development of power supply in the respective countries.
